Regarding the miniDungo and miniDungo 6.5
Q. Will it pick up wet manure?
A Yes, even in long grass but you will need more revs to do it than in dryer conditions
Q Will it pick up sticks and stones, and what will it do to the machine if it does?
A. It will pick up quite big stones up to about a walnut size. No fans or fan cases have needed replacing in 4 yrs due to stones and sticks going through the fan. Some machines are in highly abrasive environments , viz. Grain silos, and are doing very well. However, sever damage could be be done if the machine is used inappropriately eg as a mulcher, for larger branches, gravel transfer or palm frond removal.
Q. Do I need full power to pick up manure?
A.We recommend you find the lowest revs required to do the job, about half power in dry conditions is ideal.
Q Can I use "poly" bags instead of Hessian bags or the standard shade cloth bag?
A. No, because the bags need to let air out to maintain airflow speeds. The hessian bag and standard bag act as a rough air filter.
Q. Will the side scoop accessory pick up horse manure?
A. In short (about 30 to 40mm long grass)green grass it will pick up about 80% in one pass. It is ideal for Alpaca manure and leaves. Not recommended in dusty conditions.
Q. Would the "discharge shute" make a good spreader?
A. Yes, An added advantage of our machine is that the mulching fan destroys the worm maturation habitat before spreading the manure back on the paddock.
Q. What happens in the event of a warranty claim?
A. For warranty claims on the motor take it to your local Briggs and Stratton dealer. (usually a local mower shop centre)
For genuine warranty claims regarding the rest of the machine, contact us in the first place and we will suggest a course of action. This action will probably involve a local repair being done and we will reimburse you their invoice costs.
Q What maintenance is required on the machine?
A. For the motor follow the recommended Briggs and Stratton schedule. For the rest it is important to maintain good airflow this requires occasional cleaning of the bag and a hose out of the fan case, this can be done with the motor running. Regulkar cleaning will maintain the machine in tip top condition.
Q. Where can I get spare parts?
A. The local Briggs and Stratton dealer for the motor and phone us for anything else and we will send the required part or suggest local suppliers if suitable.
Q. Horse manure is very corrosive, will the machine rust away quickly?
A. No, we powder coat our machine for that very reason. Also the steel is a minimum of 1.6 mm thick(nearly twice car body thickness), much of it is 5mm thick in the working areas. Regular cleaning and removal of built up debris will prolong the life of you machine.
Q.What is the delivery time if I order.
A. Usually about two weeks from the receipt of the deposit
